Signing Three MoUs to facilitate working capital lending

In order to facilitate working capital loans by commercial banks to industries, enterprises, agriculture and craftsmen, on April 27, 2021 three separate tripartite and quadrilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) were singed between Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines (ACIM), Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock, Afghanistan Chambers Federation, Afghanistan Craftsmen & Shopkeepers Chamber and Afghanistan Banks Association.
During this program, at first, H.E Ajmal Ahmadi, Acting Governor DAB talked about the role of banks in the country's economic growth by lending to small and medium enterprises and the development of the industries. He called upon commercial banks to play their role in the economic development of the country within the framework of relevant laws and regulations.
Then, Mr. Mohammad Ismail Ghazanfar, President of Afghanistan Chambers Federation, expressed his gratitude for the initiative of H.E Ajmal Ahmadi for the growth and development of the private sector and formation of the plan, to gather the chambers, pave the way for their further growth &development, and their efforts to provide the necessary facilities.
In another part of the program, Mr. Salem Omid, Chairman of the Afghanistan Banks Association, while appreciating the role of H.E. Ahmadi in establishing coordination and strengthening relations between banks and the private sector, added that banks have good liquidity and are ready for any cooperation in lending to the private sector for the economic growth.
Subsequently, Mr. Shirbaz Kamin Zada, Chairman of Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines (ACIM), Mr. Khan Mohammad Forootan, Chairman of Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock, and Mr. Noorulhaq Omari, Chairman of Afghanistan Craftsmen & Shopkeepers Chamber, Spoked and welcomed this initiative for strengthening the banking sector as much as possible and establishing effective relations between banks and the private sector.
