ABA conducted Governance, Risk & Compliance Committee(GRCC) meeting

To address banks' constraints for effective implementation of recent Action plan on AML/CFT compliance advised by DAB and strengthen ABA’s Governance, Risk and Compliance Committee(GRCC), ABA conducted the committee meeting today August 19, 2020. The meeting was attended by Chief Risk Officers, Chief Compliance Officers, Audit Department representative of the banks, and ABA Management. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the DAB Action plan for AML/CFT National Risk Mitigation for banks based on FATF Recommendation.
The meeting was commenced by Mr. Najibullah Amiri ABA Executive Director and further followed under the chairmanship of Ms. Ewa Chairperson of GRC Committee. Following that, the election for new members was held were after the voting process new three eligible members including two vice-chairs were elected. Consequently, DAB action plan was reviewed and it was agreed that DAB should be approached to provide necessary clarification on some part of the action plan.
